Árpád Tamási

Árpád Tamási is a doctoral researcher at the Doctoral School of Sociology, Eötvös Loránd University; his supervisor is Renáta Németh. His research examines cognitive outsourcing as a historical and social mechanism, through the educational use of artificial intelligence. He has thirty-five years of experience in software development and entrepreneurship; he holds a degree in computer science from ELTE and a graduate certificate in artificial intelligence from Stanford. His empirical site is GoSchool.ai, the course-embedded AI tutoring platform he co-founded and operates, which he both develops and studies as a live testbed and a research corpus. His method is Design-Based Research: in short, repeating cycles of design, intervention, analysis, and reflection, he uses measurement to support the redesign of teaching practice. The logged student–AI interactions reveal learning patterns directly, under naturalistic conditions that surveys and lab studies rarely capture. His findings have appeared in a co-authored study (Németh et al., Social Sciences & Humanities Open, 2025).
